Truck Driver - Showagon
Under supervision, drives a truck and assists support personnel of the truck in the performance of work for which the truck is operated.
Drives a dump truck, manual or automatic shift, with hydraulic lifts and compressing operations; responsible for the normal preventative maintenance of his / her assigned vehicle such as, but not limited to, checking oil, checking tires, checking water, checking fuel and fuel lights.
Performs other related duties as assigned. Follows all operations and safety policies and safe work practices. Attends and participates in operations and safety training classes and demonstrates competence (demonstration of competence may be determined by exam).
Wears and properly utilizes safety equipment in accordance with Divisional policy at all times.A High School Diploma or GED is required.
A valid State of Ohio Class A or B Commercial Driver's License is required. Must have a good driving record. Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds.
Must be able to work outside in all types of weather. Must be a City of Cleveland Seasonal Snow Removal Vehicle Operator.
The following requirements are specific to particular hiring departments. Airbrake and Trailer endorsements are required.
Four years of full-time paid experience operating a Waste collection vehicle or straight truck is required.Examples of work :
chairs, tables, stairs, props, generator, ramps, and fuel canister.
